Special Order & Shipping Policy
- Clients must ensure that the item(s), notes, and quantities on their order are correct before finalizing the order.
- After 48 hours, production may begin and the order cannot be edited/canceled.
- In case any changes are required, additional fees may apply depending on the item(s) and the factory.
- Customers acknowledge that there may be a ±10% color variation on specially ordered fabrics used on upholstered goods.
- The Istanbul Furniture team will do their best to handle processing times and deliver goods within the promised time frame, but cannot be held liable for customs, port, or government-related delays.
- Due to circumstances beyond our control, a 25% U.S. customs charge, along with applicable fees, will be added to the total sales order for clients who make purchases on or after November 1, 2025. All customers purchasing from our company will be liable for these fees and charges.
- All clients who customize their order must sign Special Order Policy PDF via email.
- All clients must follow our special order policy, shipping policy and refund policy as stated on our website.

COI & Stair Carry Fees
Certificate of Insurance (COI) Fee
Some apartment buildings, condominiums, high-rise residences, and managed properties require a Certificate of Insurance (COI) before allowing a delivery to take place.
When a COI is required, a minimum fee of $99 will apply. This fee helps cover the insurance, administrative, and processing costs associated with obtaining and preparing the required documentation for your building.
The final COI fee may vary depending on factors such as the building’s insurance requirements, delivery location, floor level, type and size of the furniture, and any additional requirements requested by building management.
Customers are responsible for confirming with their building management whether a COI is required and providing all necessary COI requirements before the scheduled delivery date. Additional requirements or late requests may affect the delivery schedule and/or final fee.
Buildings Without an Elevator – Stair Carry Fee
If your delivery location does not have an elevator and the furniture must be carried upstairs, an additional stair carry fee will apply.
For deliveries to the 2nd floor or above, a minimum additional charge of $75 per floor will be added to the regular shipping/delivery fee.
For example:
- 2nd Floor: Minimum additional $75
- 3rd Floor: Minimum additional $150
- 4th Floor: Minimum additional $225
The final stair carry fee may vary depending on the number of items, size and weight of the furniture, staircase dimensions, accessibility, number of delivery personnel required, and overall difficulty of the delivery.
Any applicable COI or stair carry charges are separate from the standard shipping/delivery fee and will be confirmed based on the specific delivery conditions.
